Dealing with technology in the workplace is a tricky endeavor but employers should make their policies clear about using computers, cell phones and the like, a local attorney said Monday.

Louise Tausch of Atchley, Russell, Waldrop, & Hlavinka LLP discussed the high-tech, thorny issue at an employment law seminar hosted at Texarkana College by the Tri-State Society for Human Resource Management and Texarkana Chamber of Commerce.

“I’m going to talk to you about technology and how it can bite you,” Tausch said to local human resource professionals. “And it will.”
