Federal investigation begins in fatal truck-train crash
![]() Staff photo by Jim Williamson A collision with a log truck derailed the engines of a De Queen & Eastern Railroad Co. train about 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Clean-up crews began removing the engines late Friday afternoon at the intersection of the railroad and Oklahoma Highway 98 south of Wright City, Okla. The collision killed the log truck driver and critically injured the engineer. A log truck driven by James Wise, 32, of Wickes, Ark., collided with a De Queen & Eastern Railroad Co. train about 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the railroad crossing on Oklahoma Highway 98 about 200 feet south of Wright City.
