The Bloomburg School Board unanimoulsly approved the hiring of an interim superintendent and business manager Thursday night.

Kenny Abernathy, principal at Avinger Independent School District, will be offered the Bloomburg interim superintendent position for the rest of the this school year and the 2008-09 school year.

Board member Timmy Stanley made the motion. Board members in attendance were President Rick Orr, Vice President Charles Easley, Secretary Brian Cloninger, Parliamentarian Jo Kay Timmons, Suzanne Simmons Bishop, Steve Crumpler and Stanley.
