Special-needs clients of Texarkana Resources for the Disabled learn employment skills and independent living readiness thanks in part to financial contributions from the United Way.

“We received $67,000 from the United Way, which is used for matching grants for training in special-needs individuals that are learning how to work,” said Ross Parker, executive director for the organization. “The money also supports our group home and apartments where special-needs individuals can learn to live on their own through independent living training.”
