DeKalb, Texas, voters Tuesday supported the school district in a tax rollback election.

By adopting the new maintenance and operating tax rate of $1.17, the district will receive almost $500,000 more annually from the state, said Superintendent David Manley.

“Things are looking great for DeKalb school district,” he said.

He expressed his appreciation to the community for their support by saying the money will go toward the future of the school, to the staff and it will benefit the children who attend school in DeKalb.
