St. Michael recognized for quality care

CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas, was recently recognized by HealthGrades, an independent healthcare rating organization, for excellence in quality care.

St. Michael received four 2008 Specialty Excellence Awards in the areas of vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and general surgery.

St. Michael, a faith-based, Catholic healthcare ministry, ranks in the top five percent for vascular surgery and in the top 10 percent for orthopedic, gastrointestinal and general surgery.
