Plight of homeless, hungry shared at community breakfast

Harvest Texarkana and the Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter broke bread Wednesday morning at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church with community members in honor of National Hunger and Homelessness Week.

The event calls attention to hunger and homelessness in this area.

“Harvest Texarkana and Randy Sams’ joined together four years ago to use this campaign as a way to increase awareness as well as understanding of our local hunger and homelessness situation,” said Michelle Harutunian, executive director of Harvest Texarkana.
