A 28-year-old De Queen, Ark., man was arrested Tuesday in Bowie County after allegedly robbing the Horatio, Ark., E-Z Mart.

Sevier County Sheriff John Partain said the sheriff’s office received a call at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday from the clerk at the convenience store who said she had just been the victim of a robbery.

When Deputy Larry Cook arrived on the scene, the clerk informed him a man she knows as “Chico” came into the store and produced a note demanding money. The note allegedly stated if the clerk did not cooperate, he would shoot up the store.
