A former Queen City, Texas, pastor pleaded not guilty in a Bowie County courtroom Monday afternoon to sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl who was a member of his church’s congregation.

Willie Fay Arnold, 60, appeared before District Judge Ralph Burgess with his defense attorney, Charles Friday of the Texarkana firm Dunn, Nutter and Morgan.

When Burgess asked Arnold how he wished to plead, Friday told him Arnold wanted to take the case to trial.
