A home and two vehicles belonging to a single mom in Texarkana, Texas, were destroyed Tuesday afternoon by a fire that started in the garage.

“When we arrived, the fire was completely through the roof,” said Chief Joel Moss of the Pleasant Grove Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched to 1306 Arnold Lane at 5:15 p.m., and Moss was most concerned with protecting houses on either side of the house, so near the burning home.

Two vehicles—one parked on the front driveway and another parked inside the garage—were burned by the fire.
