A community center in Texarkana, Ark., is reaching out to area citizens, and providing a haven for happiness.

Sandflat-Glendale Shannon Neighborhood Center offers a safe, comfortable place for seniors to socialize, play games and meet new people.

Each day offers different activities. Monday and Thursday offer exercise for seniors, Tuesday is a chance for Bible study, and there are always games such as bingo and dominoes. Quilting is also a popular pastime, and arts and crafts keep the mind and hands busy.
