A man who pleaded guilty earlier this month to sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl was sentenced Wednesday to 60 years in prison.

With the help of his defense attorney, Al Smith of Texarkana, Jamie Paul Smith Jr., 32, pleaded guilty Nov. 19. Jamie Smith, unable to post bond while waiting for his day in court, sat dressed in jail attire, a tattoo of an unclothed woman visible on his right forearm.
