Two were injured in a vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Hooks, Texas.

Natoya Smith, 23, and her daughter Lilian Smith, 3, were taken by ambulance to a Texarkana hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries following the accident, Hooks officer Brian Burns said.

Smith was driving a maroon Grand Am east on U.S. Highway 82 and was turning into an apartment complex near the Red River Army Depot main gate when her car collided with a 2003 Ford Taurus, Burns said.
