Three months after its inception, the Miller County Hometown Health Coalition is already making its presence felt in the community and has plans to do much more.

“We recently went to Faith, Love & Hope and did a Prevention Day Celebration,” said Tonya Domokos, chairman of the Miller County Hometown Health Coalition.

About 60 children participated in the one-day event, which culminated with the kids planting red tulip bulbs in the shape of a ribbon.

“We talked to them about suicide prevention, tobacco, drug abuse and abstinence,” Domokos said.
