The Bloomburg Independent School District continues to go through numerous changes.

In October, the Board of Trustees voted unanimously to hire Kenny Abernathy of Avinger Independent School District. However, he was missing at the school board meeting Monday night. Acting superintendent Brian Stroman would not comment on Abernathy’s absence. Abernathy could not be reached for comment Tuesday.
