Program to have impact on youth

Group receives funds to fight underage drinking

The Miller County Drug Free Communities Coalition is slated to receive $150,000 each year for the next three years to tackle underage drinking. The money is coming from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.

The IMPACT (Influencing, Monitoring and Preventing Alcohol Consumption and Tendencies) in Youth program will be enacted through Faith, Love & Hope, an organization that provides after-school and summer programs for children.
