Sue N Carol’s restaurant burned Sunday afternoon after fire spread from the water heater closet, officials said.

Texarkana, Ark., Fire Chief Bobby Honea was at the scene Sunday. He said the business mostly experienced smoke damage, along with some fire and water damage.

The fire was discovered and called in by workers at a tobacco shop also in the shopping center in the 900 block of North State Line Avenue. It was called in at 1:44 p.m., said Texarkana, Ark., Fire Marshal Stephen Johnson.
