Patrolman suffers broken ankle in parking lot attack

ASHDOWN, Ark.—An Ashdown police officer’s ankle was broken and his shoulder injured during an attack by a man in a convenience store parking lot after a Sunday morning traffic stop.

Ashdown Police Patrol Officer Brandon Kennemore is recovering from a broken left ankle and injury to his left shoulder along with numerous bumps and bruises, Ashdown Police Det. Doyle Crouch said Monday.

Jarvis J. Roberson, 20, of Wilton, Ark., was arrested by two other law enforcement officers while the attack was taking place and remains in the Little River County Jail.
