Judge denies DISD’s motion to end case

A federal judge has ruled the U.S. Constitution may well have protected a middle school student in Detroit, Texas, from punishment by school officials for playing a virtual paper doll game during class.

Judge David Folsom of the Eastern District of Texas denied a motion Monday filed by attorneys representing the Detroit Independent School District that could have ended the case.
