A Libertarian candidate has joined the battle for U.S representative in Texas’ 4th District.

Jan. 2 was the deadline to file for the race, and Fred Annett hopes to win the spot on a platform of change.

“I at least take a stand on the controversial issues and I will not waver (in) my beliefs,” he said.

Annett does not support the war in Iraq, and thinks the billions spent there would better benefit American health care.
