Nash City Council agreed Monday to buy a condemned home and its surrounding property near the city’s water treatment plant.

City Administrator Elizabeth Lea said city officials are still in price negotiations with the bank, which owns the property.

Lea said the city intends to use the property to build a municipal vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair shop.
