Quality work earns praise

LEARY, Texas—The Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant’s ammunition and explosives production for the ongoing war on terrorism received a ceremonious recognition Wednesday from the Army.

U.S. Army Brig. Gen. James Rogers, who is currently in charge of the Rock Island, Ill.,-based Joint Munitions Command Center, presented LSAAP officials with the U.S. Army Superior Unit Award during a brief award ceremony. It is given for “outstanding meritorious performance of a unit during a difficult and challenging mission under extraordinary circumstances.”
