The drawdown of Millwood Lake has exposed trash along the shoreline, and a group of citizens want additional help to clean up Saturday.

“You can’t believe how much trash is in the lake,” said Carolyn Coleman, a former Little River County judge and member of the Millwood Focus Committee. “We really need help in the cleanup.”

The cleanup starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at Beard’s Bluff, Saratoga, Cottonshed and Paraloma parks. Lunch will be provided for volunteers at the Millwood Lake dedication site. Each volunteer must sign a volunteer agreement form prior to cleanup day. The...
