Instead of telling 101 customers that they may have been sold defective electric bedding products, Sunbeam Corp, will be sending notices to as many as 35,000.

That was one development that arose when lawyers met in Texarkana to move toward settlement of a class action lawsuit that alleges Sunbeam sold electric blankets, heated pads and heated throws with defective circuitry.

The lawyers were from Texarkana and New York working on Sunbeam’s behalf and from Texarkana and Colorado representing the plaintiffs.
