HORATIO, Ark.—After a 30-minute standoff with law enforcement authorities, a local man surrendered and was arrested on aggravated assault and terroristic threatening charges.

Cary Leverett, 37, remained in the Sevier County jail Tuesday on felony charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening of law enforcement officers.

The incident started about 12:45 a.m. Saturday at Leverett’s residence at 306 N. Foulk St. on the north side of Horatio, authorities said.
