Texarkana, Ark., School District Superintendent Dr. Paul Dee Human resigned Thursday amid allegations he mismanaged the district’s technology network plan and disqualified it from receiving federal government funds.

The school board accepted his resignation and voted unanimously to give him more than a year’s salary of $150,000 negotiated down from the remaining 28 months, or $326,000, on his contract.

Authorities are investigating the alleged mismanagement, but Human will qualify for the $150,000 negotiated settlement regardless of the issue’s outcome.
