MURFREESBORO, Ark.—The former Delight School District girls basketball coach pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree sexual assault in a case involving a 14-year-old team member.

Chad D. Smith, 28, was sentenced to 10 years in prison with six years suspended and was banned as a teacher. He will also pay $220 in court costs and a $250 DNA testing fee.
