A lawsuit filed by the Remington Hotel Corp. against a local hotel owner for trademark infringement has been settled.

The hotel, the former Holiday Inn Holidome, was renamed the Remington by owner William Davis, prompting a suit from a national chain of the same name. Davis has agreed to change the name, attorneys for both sides said.

“Mr. Davis has agreed to comply with our demands over a period of time and we’re satisfied with that,” said Texarkana lawyer Gary Grimes. “So, we’re going to make peace.”
