HOPE, Ark.—Area residents will be able to adopt horses at the Coliseum on Saturday and Sunday though a Bureau of Land Management adoption.

Nearly 80 wild horses will be up for adoption including adult and yearling horses and burros.

As a result of lingering effects of drought and wildfires throughout the Western United States, thousands of acres of habitat for wild horses is in danger.

The BLM is trying to save as many of these horses as possible and some will be available for adoption at the local event.
