ASHDOWN, Ark.—Emotions ran high earlier this week but were eventually buried without injury following a confrontation between a funeral home employee and a truck driver.

Charles Nutt, an employee of Moore’s Funeral Home in southwest Ashdown, apparently became angry at truck driver Terry Lane for “rutting up” the shoulders of the road near the funeral home Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by the Ashdown Police Department.

The argument escalated until weapons of choice were brought out—with Nutt carrying a shotgun and Lane displaying his tire iron.
