The one principle many Christians can agree on, no matter the denomination, church or creed, is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It is the premise of Christendom throughout the world.

And Texarkana churches are no different—whether Protestant or Catholic, each celebrated the historical event with Easter services. More than 50 announced their celebrations in Saturday’s issue of the Gazette.

The Rev. Lawrence Chellaian of St. Edward Catholic Church said all can agree on not only the Resurrection but the birth and return of Christ.
