The Texarkana, Ark., School District board will meet in special session at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Administrative Building, 3435 Jefferson Ave.

The board will consider the Zone 6 position being vacated by Ray Nelson, who resigned Feb. 28, ending his third term early. Today is the last day to file a letter of intent to replace him. Letters should be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today at the Administrative Building. The zone map will be posted at the front of the building until the end of business today.
