NEW BOSTON, Texas—Preventing flooding on a section of road that crosses Wright Patman Lake became

a priority Monday for the Bowie County Commissioners Court.

During their second meeting this month, commissioners approved an advanced funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation, through which $65,000 to $75,000 in state funds will be used to help raise Redwater-Minton Road at least 1 foot in an area where it crosses Wright Patman Lake from Redwater south to the Minton community.
