The Trans-Texas Corridor, known locally as Interstate 69, has caused enough concern to ripple through communities that the Texas Department of Transportation has extended the timeline for collecting public comments.

The original deadline was March 19, but the Federal Highway Administration granted a one-month extension.

“The Trans-Texas Corridor is the most scrutinized infrastructure project in history,” said Amadeo Saenz, TxDOT executive director. “An extension through April 18th allows more citizens the opportunity to express their views regarding I-69.”
