A Queen City, Texas, man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop Wednesday night in Texarkana, Texas.

Wade Griffin, 33, was stopped about 10 p.m. by Texas-side officer Ed Steger in the 700 block of West Seventh Street. Steger reportedly found steel wool inside the car.

Steel wool can be indicative of other drug paraphernalia, said Sgt. Shawn Fitzgerald, Texarkana, Texas, Police Department spokesman.

Steger was given consent to search the vehicle and found a pill bottle of prescription narcotic medicines darvocet and talacen, Fitzgerald said.
