Bowie County Special Olympics will be 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday at Bear Stadium in DeKalb, Texas. The 215 athletes will lead the parade at 9:30 a.m. and light the Olympic torch. The games begin at 10:15 a.m.

Students from Texarkana, Texas, Liberty-Eylau, Pleasant Grove, Maud, Redwater, James Bowie, DeKalb, Hooks and New Boston school districts will partcipate, along with community athletes.

The public is invited. Admission is free.
