 An Atlanta High School teacher was arrested Thursday almost eight hours after police found her with a 16-year-old male student in a public parking lot in Atlanta.

The student was cited for being out past curfew, but Melissa Kay Lee, 32, of Maud, Texas, was arrested by police at Atlanta High School on charges of sexual assault and improper relationship between educator and student.

The charges are second-degree felonies, according to police reports.

Lee was taken to Cass County Jail and released on a $25,000 bond.
