Budget-priced books

Friends of the Library to hold annual sale; audiobooks and recent bestsellers available

The Friends of the Library’s used book sale begins today and runs through Saturday.

The shelves are stacked with everything from books on tape to special interest, recent top-selling authors to well-known biographies, thousands of barely used books in every genre under the sun with prices as low as 10 cents.

“Some books sell new for $25 or $30 but ours are only $5 to $6,” said Frances Holcombe, longtime volunteer and retired educator as she pointed to a stack of 2007-2008 published books.
