The Pier 27 restaurant in southern Miller County was burglarized Wednesday morning and a bizarre trail of evidence helped law enforcement officers arrest three suspected burglars.

The trail of evidence included a wheelbarrow loaded with beer along with 12-packs and 24-packs of beer strewn in the woods behind the restaurant.

A snake “as big as an arm” helped convince one of the suspects to surrender. Then two alleged burglars with shriveled skin surrendered to Miller County Sheriff Linda Rambo Wednesday morning.
