U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates will pay a visit to Red River Army Depot on Friday, touring the facility and watching demonstrations.

According to RRAD spokesman Belinda Lee, Gates will spend Friday afternoon learning about the depot’s production and war contribution. The depot repairs armored security vehicles such as Bradleys and Humvees.

The defense secretary will visit the vehicle refurbishing centers, as well as the area where rubber is produced for vehicle tracks.
