The Texarkana Gunslingers baseball team is winding up for its 2008 inaugural season with promotions for the fans.

The team’s opening day match-up will be May 25, when they meet the McKinney Blue Thunder at George Dobson Field in Spring Lake Park.

Festivities will begin at 1 p.m. with a concert by the Dove-nominated Christian rock band Pocket Full of Rocks. Tickets for the concert go on sale Monday for $10 at the Gunslinger’s box office and $12 online.

Immediately after the concert, fans can watch the players take the field for an afternoon batting practice....
