Duo may face additional charges concerning emaciated horses
Additional charges may be pending against two people arrested earlier this week in Texarkana, Ark., on animal cruelty charges.
Meanwhile, a plea date has been set for Emmons Booth, 64, and Betty Blackburn, 77, for May 6. Arkansas-side police arrested Booth and Blackburn shortly after they pulled into GCR Tire on North State Line Avenue. Their Chevrolet truck was towing a 22-foot livestock trailer containing 11 malnourished and emaciated horses—one of which lay dying on he trailer floor.
