David Reed, a service manager at the local Olive Garden, has traveled the extra mile and thousands more to bring an authentic Italian dining experience to Texarkana.

Reed was chosen by Olive Garden to attend its Culinary Institute of Tuscany. He traveled 4,000 miles to learn about Italian culture and cuisine and to bring his newfound knowledge back to his team and guests.

“Seeing the enthusiasm Italians have for food, at the markets, the vineyards, and in the kitchen was amazing, Reed said.
