The legal sale of alcoholic beverages, including mixed beverages, may soon be another step closer to being on the November ballot.

The Bowie County Election Administrators Office recently drafted a copy of an order, which will have to be approved by the County Commissioners Court during its May 12 meeting.

The order provides for the election to take place within the City of Nash, to be placed on the Nov. 4 general election ballot.

Early voting for or against the proposed measure will be conducted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 20-31 at Nash City Hall.
