A series of public meetings will be held in Texarkana, Ark., this week to gather community input on the expenditure of $337,000.

Community Development Block Grants are awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the city anticipates receiving that amount in HUD’s next round of allocations.

Citizens are invited to make suggestions on how and where those dollars should be used, and the comments will be used in the city’s five-year action plan.
