Dierks man killed while flagging traffic
A Dierks, Ark., man has been killed while flagging traffic for a wrecker service attempting to remove a tractor from a ditch, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
Ferrell Kesterson, 37, of Dierks, was struck by a vehicle at 3:20 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 70 near Connelly Road. He was a flagman attempting to stop traffic for a wrecker pulling a stuck tractor. A 2004 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Kelly Trott, 30, of Bonnerdale, Ark., failed to stop in time and struck Kesterson, the report stated.
