A seven-year lawsuit between eight cities in and around Bowie County was officially dropped Tuesday, making it water under a new bridge of cooperation and partnership.

“I want our citizens to really understand the magnitude,” said Derrick McGary, mayor pro tem for Texarkana, Texas. “Any time we get to put something together like this that’s in the best interest of our region, it’s going to affect us for many years to come.
