Officials in Cass and Marion counties say a woman arrested last week was in the car with the suspect when a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was shot and killed.

Marion County Dis-trict Attorney Bill Gleason said Tuesday he had information that Jennifer Lynne Petrick was riding as a passenger when Trooper Scott Burns attempted to stop Brandon Wayne Robertson in Marion County during a pursuit April 29.

A witness said Petrick was holding a small dog and an animal carrier on her lap as Burns was fatally shot.
