Demonstrating unique compassion, Liberty-Eylau Independent School District’s fourth-grade Venture Class at C.K. Bender Elementary sent a trunk containing 3,667 butterflies to the Houston Holocaust Museum on Thursday.

The offering is a response to the museum’s effort to collect 1.5 million handmade butterflies to use in an exhibit honoring the children who died in the Holocaust.
