Man pleads guilty to 3 assaults

A man who caused serious injury to his former girlfriend pleaded guilty Tuesday afternoon to that crime and three others he committed while in the Miller County jail.

Jimmy Jerome Dancer, 20, received a 15-year prison sentence from Circuit Judge Kirk Johnson for a Jan. 26, 2007, incident where he dragged his former girlfriend with her car.

Dancer also received six years in prison for an assault he participated in with other inmates on Oct. 8, 2007, while in the Miller County Correctional Facility.
